Training

Action:

  • Instigated presentation training for Citihub Ltd, an infrastructure software solutions company

  • Conducted 4 x 1½-day sessions for 12 staff including the CEO across 2007/08

Result:

  • Significant improvement in presentation techniques and content

  • Citihub now extending their conference presentations as a consequence

  • Training to cover remaining staff in 2009

  • Led to broader involvement in the Citihub's marketing strategy including corporate communications, website design/content, white paper content and PR/advertising

Action:

  • Developed global training programmes for MPG

    • 6-D' training 2002-04

    • Concert training 2005 to present

  • In both instances I :-

    • Wrote course content

    • Presented and facilitated the sessions

    • Trained senior management delegates

Result:

  • Very positive feedback from delegates

  • Radically improved understanding of 6-D and Concert processes

  • Increasing application of the methodologies

Action:

  • Chairman of the Media Circle Cambridge Presentation course, 1998-2001

    • Moved all formats to Powerpoint (from acetate!)

    • Hired new trainers

    • Updated presentation topics annually

    • Recruited new judging panel

Result:

  • Improved feedback from delegates

  • Created demand for an additional course which also sold out

  • I was asked back in 2003 to lead a training session for delegates

What does this mean for you?

I could devise bespoke training courses in a number of areas, from media planning/strategy to more advanced strategic processes.

This could incorporate specific skills such as presentation (writing and delivery), brain storming/idea generation and reductionist/expansionist thinking techniques.
