‘No insight, no invoice'

 

Consultants are all too often remembered for a large invoice with little to show for it.

 

I therefore give all clients the ultimate sanction of paying me nothing if I have contributed nothing.

 

Judging my work/contribution in terms of its ‘insightfulness' is clearly a subjective exercise , and therefore requires transparency and integrity on both sides.

 

I also don't believe in standard rates of remuneration – what I charge depends both on the project and the employer. The rate simply needs to be agreed upfront before significant time commitments have been made by either party.
